Admission Quota

- Two percent quota shall be kept for disabled candidates. Applicants with disabilities can request requisite facilities during the admissions process. All such requests must be supported by documentary evidence.
- Two percent quota shall be kept for sports based admissions in all UG programs except BU HS Campus.
- Two percent quota shall be kept in admissions for applicants/ students from less developed regions of Pakistan.
- Five percent quota for Children of Overseas Pakistanis.
- Five percent quota shall be reserved for the sons/ daughters of Advocates in LLB, who shall compete for admission in order of merit.
- One percent quota for Balochistan.
- Applicants on reserved seats at Para 1,2,3 & 4 above should fulfill general conditions for admissions and must meet minimum admission criteria, prescribed for each degree program.
- Candidates applying on quota seats must submit their applications along with desired documents before admission deadline at Admission office of their respective Campus.
- Applicants belonging to lesser developed regions of Pakistan shall be required to produce duly attested domicile from chairman Town Committee/ Gazetted Officers.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR STUDENTS FROM LESS DEVELOPED REGIONS / DISABLED CANDIDATES/ WARDS OF ADVOCATES
- Applicants shall apply online, on or before the notified closing date.
- Applicants shall forward their applications to Admissions Offices of respective Campuses to avail quota seats. Requests indicating application number, Programs, Campus along with supporting documents shall reach respective Campus (after online registration) by quickest means (e-mail/ TCS etc), one week before Admissions Deadline (Closing) dates.
- Applicants shall appear in the CBT on the date notified by BU, or produce results of the tests conducted by the specified testing service if so provisioned.
- No fee waiver is authorized on quota seats.
ADMISSION PROCESS FOR CHILDREN OF OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS
Five percent quota reserved for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis in Bahria University (BU), the recommended procedure to be adopted for implementation in all CUs, is as under:
- Applicants shall apply online before the notified closing date as promulgated as per eligibility criteria.
- Applicants are to follow all the laid down procedures for admission as per admission policy available on BU website.
- Applicants are to attach following documents along with application form available on BU website (https://Bahria.edu.pk):
- Paid Challan Form
- Copy of CNIC/ NICOP
- Copy of Passport of Parent/ Guardian with valid visa & exit stamp
- Proof of residence/ employment abroad of Parent or Guardian as applicable
- Applicants shall appear in the Computer Based Admission Test (CBT) on the date notified by BU in relevant CU in Pakistan, or produce/ enter results of the ETS tests conducted by the specified testing services if so provisioned (SAT,GAT& GRE etc).
- Admission will be purely on merit.
- Admission Committee of BU Campuses/CUs shall verify the above mentioned documents of the applicant to look for any discrepancies/shortcoming.
ADMISSION PROCESS FOR SPORTS QUOTA SEAT
- Candidates of UG Programs after completion of online registration process shall apply and submit the sports quota form along with following documents in their respective campuses:
- Copy of ID Card/Form B.
- Copy of Paid Admission Processing fee slip.
- Sports participation Certificate(s) from relevant authority.
- Eligibility: Only those candidates will be eligible for admission on 2% sports quota seat who will qualify the BU CBT/ ETS and will meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the program.

Eligibility Criteria
Test Subject
CBT / Admission Test Subjects (Undergraduate)
- BU Entrance Test of Undergraduate Programs for Management Sciences & Earth & Environmental Sciences shall be based on the pattern as mentioned below, 100 MCQs in a CBT. Each question shall be presented with four answer option. There is no negative marking. Only one of which shall be correct. The test shall carry 100 marks and time allowed shall be 120 minutes.
- Departments of Management Studies (BS-A&F, BS-SCM, BS-E&F, BS-Economics), Business Studies (BBA- 2&4 Years), Media Studies (BS-Media Studies, BS-TV Broadcasting), Humanities & Social Sciences (BS-IR, BS-Development Studies, BS-Public Health), Maritime Sciences (BS-Maritime 2 & 4 Years), Legal Studies (LLB) except BS (English) Program, and, the test shall consist of following 4 sections:
- Verbal ability
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Analytical Reasoning
- General Knowledge
- Departments of Computer Sciences (BS-CS, BS AI, BS-IT), Electrical Engineering (BS-EE), Software Engineering (BS-SE), Computer Engineering (BS-CE) the test consists of following 4 sections.
- Verbal ability
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Analytical Reasoning
- Physics and Maths
- Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences (BS-ES, BS-Geology, BS-Geo Physics, BS-Geo Sciences) the test consists of following 5 sections:
- Verbal ability

- Biology or Maths
- Chemistry and Physics
- For BS (Psychology), BS (English) and BS (Islamic Studies) the test shall consist of following 3 sections:

- General Knowledge

- For semester based Medical Sciences (DPT & MLT etc) the test shall consist of following 4 sections:

- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Note: Following academic subjects form Verbal Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning:

CBT / Admission Test Subjects (Postgraduate Programs)
The test shall comprise on three/ four sections:
- Following categories of applicants are exempted from appearing in the BU Entry Test (CBT)
- Those who have qualified GRE or GAT through NTS (General & Subject) for MS/M.Phil & PhD Programs.
- Those who have qualified SAT for Non-Engineering and Engineering Bachelor Programs respectively
- Those who have qualified BU Entry Test (CBT) during last one year
- All applicants are to register on-line and pay registration fee.
- Qualification of GRE, GAT through NTS and SAT is to be mentioned at the time of on-line registration. A copy of the Result Card is to be uploaded on ETS Scores Page (Step-2; Personal Profile)
- Applicants at Para 1 above may opt to appear / re-appear in BU Entry Test (CBT) for improvement of previous results. Best results of both or repeated tests shall be counted to prepare merit list.
