Islamabad: Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Mr. Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman visited Bahria University. He discussed with students and faculty of Bahria university about the opportunities created by “China-Pak Economic Corridor” and their social and economic benefits on Pakistan. He said that GB has the potential of generating 50,000 Mega Watt of electricity as reported by WAPDA. Diamer Bhasha Dam construction will start next year. For improving the road infrastructure within GB and rest of country, number of highways and motorways are under construction. Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral Tanveer Faiz HI (M) retired briefed the CM about the functioning of Bahria University. Rector informed that various projects are being launched to provide opportunity for the students for improving their leadership skills. The CM appreciated the university efforts in developing competent and competitive youth which will ultimately play its role for socio-economic development of Pakistan. Rector also presented souvenir to worthy guest.
