Bahria University has organized ten days training on ‘Hypnosis Therapy’ in collaboration with National Guild Hypnotists (NGH) USA for certified consultant Hypnotist – Hypnotherapist (NGH) USA at Bahria University Islamabad. The objective of the training was to provide 100 hours training on Hypnosis / Hypnotherapy, which is now a well established mode of psychotherapy and self improvement. The participants of the training have learned expertise of treating different psychological problems through techniques of hypnosis. It is also helpful for self improvement habit changing.
The trainers of the training were Dr. Imran Yousuf Muhammad (BCH, CMI) Mind Scientist & Master Trainer, Dr. Uzma Masroor Clinical Psychologist and Head of Department Professional Psychology at BU, Dr. Uzma Ali, Assistant Professor ICP and Ms. Muneeba Shakeel, Clinical Psychologist and NGH certified hypnotherapist.
In this training, participants learned the personal improvement, treating addicts, managing pain, reducing stress, sleep problems and changing behaviors. Hypnosis is used in a variety of settings – from emergency rooms to dental offices to outpatient clinics. Clinical studies suggest that hypnosis improve immune function, increase relaxation, decrease stress and ease pain and feelings of anxiety.
Speaking on the closing ceremony of the training, Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral Tanveer Faiz HI (M) said that “the training is being conducted on hypnosis therapy is also very useful for the students of psychology. It provides an opportunity to comprehend and understand the theoretical principals along with therapeutic techniques. Bahria University plans that such workshops will be conducted in future also for professional grooming of the psychology practitioners and students.
Expressing her views, a participant Ms. Sana Saif said that “I feel honoured after having training and interaction with learned expert. Being a student, I have to deal with some clients suffering from different disorders by considering the needs and demands of my clients, however, this workshop on hypnosis therapy has added into my professional skills to get my objectives effectively and efficiently” she added.
Another participant said that the workshop conducted on Hypnosis Therapy was very useful for the students of Psychology. It provided an opportunity to comprehend and understand the theoretical principals along with therapeutic techniques. It is opined that such workshops will be continued for professional grooming of the psychology students.
Moreover, the professional and students of different also participated in this training.
Dr. Uzma Masroor, Head of Department of Professional Psychology at Bahria University gave vote of thanks. At the end, Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral Tanveer Faiz HI (M) distributed certificates among the participants and resource persons of training and appreciated their interest and keenness in training.
