A PR officer of any organization communicates with its target audience directly or indirectly through different kinds of media with an aim to create and maintain a positive image of the respective organization, hence building a strong relationship with the audience through promotion of the various services they provide for them to benefit from. The means of communication include press releases, newsletters, public appearances and utilization of the World Wide Web or Social Media which has a greater access to information, updates and feedback.
PR Office of Bahria University is located in premises of Islamabad Headquarter, and is responsibly working for the glory and reputation of the institute. At BUHQ, PR Office is responsible for developing social network of BU with other organizations. The Public Relations office works as a control room between the university and people which enable easy communication to meet the growing requirements of Bahria’s academic and non-academic domain, through efficient feedback which helps improve university standards at all levels. It provides with information on current happenings, changes and progress made in university. The office acts as an eagle eye, covering a detailed account on the happenings in all three campuses of Bahria University and highlighting each aspect of the latest occasions, and providing an exposure to the world using different sources of print and electronic media. Publicity, advertisement and press coverage for important events at BU are major responsibilities of PRO.
