BU–KITCC Partnership for Thalassemia Awareness and Social Impact

Bahria University has taken a meaningful step toward strengthening its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Centre (KITCC). This collaboration focuses on advancing thalassemia awareness, healthcare support, and community engagement initiatives for long-term social impact.

The signing ceremony was held on 16 June 2026 at the BUKC Conference Room, bringing together representatives from both institutions. The initiative highlights the importance of academia–community partnerships in addressing critical health challenges through collective action.

Awareness & Outreach

Thalassemia continues to be a significant public health concern that requires sustained awareness, early diagnosis, and community support. Through this collaboration, Bahria University and KITCC aim to strengthen awareness campaigns and promote preventive healthcare education.

The partnership focuses on building informed communities and encouraging proactive engagement in health-related social issues.
