In alignment with the mission of Bahria University to promote academic excellence, professional development, and community engagement, Bahria University College of Allied Health Sciences (BUCAHS) actively participated in a Job Fair organized by the Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) at Karachi Expo Center, Hall No. 6 under the supervision of Dr. Mehreen Lateef, Principal Bahria University College of Allied Health Sciences. The event served as a dynamic platform for job seekers, students, and professionals to connect with leading employers, universities, and industry experts under one roof. It provided valuable opportunities for career exploration, educational advancement, and professional networking.
The Bahria University College of Allied Health Sciences (BUCAHS), Karachi, delegation was led by Professor Dr. Mehreen Lateef, Principal BUCAHS. Faculty and staff members, including Mr. Ratan Kumar, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Neha Kumari, Dr. Nain Tara, Sr. Eng. Adeel Ahmad, and Ms. Batha Naz, actively managed the BUCAHS stall and engaged with a large number of visitors throughout the day. The primary objective of participation was to guide students regarding current job opportunities, career pathways in allied health sciences, and to provide insights into interview preparation and professional growth.
Vice Admiral (R) Athar Mukhtar, HI (M), Director General Health Sciences Campus Karachi (BUHSCK), graced the event and visited the stalls at Expo Center, Karachi He appreciated the active participation and encouraged strong representation of BUCAHS in such career-oriented platforms. He emphasized the importance of connecting academia with industry to better prepare students for the evolving job market.
Professor Dr. Mehreen Lateef, highlighted the significance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between education and employment. She stated that participation in job fairs enables institutions to guide students effectively, enhance their career readiness, and foster meaningful engagement with the professional community. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting employability and career development among youth. Through its active participation, BUCAHS reaffirmed its commitment to empowering students, strengthening industry linkages, and contributing to the professional development of future healthcare practitioners
