BUHSCI has Established a Collaborative partnership with Omer-e-Rawan (OeR) on 11th March 2026 to strengthen community-based mental health support for children from low-income communities. This collaboration creates a “Screen-to-Treat” pathway, where children identified as at risk through OeR’s field screenings can be referred to qualified medical and psychological specialists for professional assessment and care.
Through this partnership, MBBS and BSPH students may also participate in community screening activities as part of their academic training, while faculty specialists contribute through expert training sessions and collaborative research. The initiative also supports the validation of culturally relevant psychological screening tools tailored to Pakistan’s socio-economic context.
Both institutions are committed to maintaining strict patient privacy and data protection standards, while working together to improve early detection, referral, and treatment pathways for childhood neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
