Student Research Society Event

The Student Research Society, Bahria University College of Medicine (BUCM) organized an academic event for students on 31st August 2026 at Lecture Hall 1. The event aimed to promote research awareness among students and encourage their active engagement in research and academic activities.

The event featured Guest Speaker Dr. Haider Imran, MBBS, Clinical Researcher, Mentor, and Research Trainer, affiliated with Foundation University Medical College and Fauji Foundation Hospital, Rawalpindi. With his expertise in clinical research, research mentorship, and research training, Dr. Haider Imran provided valuable guidance to students on developing research interests, understanding the research process, and strengthening their research skills. His practical insights helped students understand how clinical observations and problems can be transformed into meaningful research questions and projects.

Selected students actively participated in the event and engaged in the planned activities and discussions. The session provided an interactive platform for students to exchange ideas, enhance their research knowledge, and develop a greater appreciation of the role of research in medical education and professional development.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Sr. Prof. Dr. Wafa Omer, Director Research, Bahria University Health Sciences Campus Islamabad (BUHSCI), with the support and guidance of the Research Cell Team.

At the conclusion of the event, Sr. Prof. Dr. Wafa Omer presented shields of appreciation to Guest Speaker Dr. Haider Imran and student Mr. Aakif Ali shah  in recognition of their valuable contribution and participation in the event. The presentation of shields marked a gracious conclusion to the engaging and productive session.

Overall, the event was a valuable initiative towards fostering a research-oriented culture among medical students and encouraging their active participation in academic and research activities.
