The Research Cell, Bahria University College of Medicine (BUCM) organized a follow-up meeting between Bahria University Health Sciences Campus Islamabad (BUHSCI) and the Institute of Biomedical and Genetic Engineering (IBGE) on 28th August 2026 at the VLC Room BUCM. The meeting was chaired by the Principal, BUCM, Dr. Shazia Nisar, HI (M), (Retd) and aimed at further strengthening institutional collaboration and exploring opportunities for joint academic, research, and professional development initiatives.
The meeting focused on identifying potential areas of research collaboration and the formation of multidisciplinary research groups involving faculty members from BUCM, Bahria University College of Nursing (BUCN), and Public Health, in liaison with IBGE. The participants discussed areas of mutual interest and opportunities for collaborative research projects, knowledge exchange, and capacity building.
The Calendar of Activities was also discussed, with emphasis on planning and finalizing collaborative academic, research, and training activities. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding a CME-accredited course offered by IBGE in collaboration with BUHSCI, aimed at enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals.
The meeting served as a productive platform for strengthening institutional linkages and establishing a framework for sustainable collaboration in research, education, training, and professional development.
