The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Bahria University College of Medicine, organized an SMA Awareness Session 2026 on 27 August 2026 under the theme “Spinal Muscular Atrophy: Empowering Lives Through Awareness and Innovation.” Held in collaboration with the Strive Eradication of Disability Foundation (STRIVE), the session aimed to raise awareness among students and faculty about Spinal Muscular Atrophy, including its clinical presentation, early recognition, diagnosis, management, and recent treatment advances. Distinguished representatives from STRIVE shared valuable insights on patient support, advocacy, innovation, and collaboration. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, highlighting the importance of awareness, early intervention, and compassionate care.
