MS(PM) Students Visit JIC Project Site for Experiential Learning

Bahria University MS Project Management (MS-PM) students visited the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology (JIC) project site developed by IDAP, gaining valuable exposure to large-scale healthcare infrastructure development and real-time project execution practices. The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to observe how complex construction and healthcare projects are planned, managed, and implemented on ground.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by GM IDAP, Mr. Qasim Afzal. A detailed project briefing was delivered by Project Manager JIC, Mr. Emaz Khan, who guided students through key aspects of the ongoing development, highlighting project objectives, timelines, and execution strategies.

Site Exposure

During the visit, students explored different sections of the state-of-the-art facility and observed ongoing construction activities. This on-site exposure allowed them to understand how theoretical concepts are translated into practical implementation within a live project environment.

Project Management in Practice

The visit enabled students to witness real-time applications of core project management principles, including project life cycle phases, stakeholder coordination, resource management, and construction planning techniques.

By observing these processes in action, students gained a clearer understanding of the challenges and complexities involved in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Experiential Learning

This industry-academia engagement significantly strengthened experiential learning by bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and field-based application. Students were able to connect academic theories with real-world project execution scenarios.

Such exposure enhances critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and professional readiness for future roles in project management and related fields.

Academic–Industry Linkage

The visit reflects Bahria University commitment to fostering strong industry linkages that support practical learning and professional development. Collaborations with organizations like IDAP provide students with valuable insights into real-world industry practices.
