Mr. Sharif joined the Environmental Research Center (ERC) in January 2008 and has extensive experience in environmental research and management. He holds an MS degree in Environmental Sciences and has worked on resolving a wide range of environmental issues across multiple industrial sectors. His expertise includes environmental impact assessment, environmental management, industrial environmental compliance, and research project execution. He has published more than thirty research articles in internationally reputed journals on various environmental issues. In addition to teaching and research activities, he has successfully completed numerous assignments at the ERC. He also served as Co-Principal Investigator on an HEC-funded research project, which was successfully completed in 2012. Currently, he is actively involved in expert capacity building at the ERC for conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) studies, and accreditation-related activities of the research center. He has also completed several research and consultancy projects contributing to environmental sustainability and institutional development.

He holds an MS degree in Environmental Sciences and a BS degree in Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Soil and Environmental Sciences. His areas of expertise include environmental impact assessment, soil remediation, climate and air quality assessment, and environmental performance evaluation of industrial emissions. He is experienced in conducting post-performance environmental audits and environmental compliance assessments. His technical skills include emissions monitoring, ambient air quality monitoring, noise and lux level monitoring, environmental data analysis, and technical report preparation. He has contributed to several environmental monitoring and assessment projects for industrial and development sectors. In addition to his professional work, he has published five research papers in reputable journals and one book chapter on marine pollution. His research interests focus on pollution control, environmental sustainability, and climate-related environmental challenges.
