Community Services

At Bahria University, the Community Support Program (CSP) is an essential component of our Student Support Centres, designed to instill social responsibility, service learning, and civic engagement in our students. While Student Support Centres operate under the functional umbrella of the Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA), each Campus runs its CSP activities independently, adapting to local needs and partnering with organizations relevant to the campus area.

What CSP Entails

  • Mandatory Service Hours: Every undergraduate is required to complete 40 hours of community service during their degree program, contributing to their personal growth and societal awareness. 
  • Local & External Partnerships:Bahria University’s Community Support Program (CSP) actively collaborates with a diverse range of NGOs, welfare organizations, and community agencies to nurture a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility among its students. Regular initiatives such as Iftar drives, the Mall of Humanity, donation distributions, health and hygiene awareness campaigns, and blood drives are made possible through partnerships with Helping Hand for Relief & Development (HHRD), Shifa Foundation, Akhuwat Foundation, Women Aid Trust, Rizq Foundation, Allah Walay Trust, Zakat Foundation of America, Dar-e-Khidmat Foundation, Sundas Foundation, Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF), Make a Wish Foundation, Pink Ribbon Youth Programme, and Noureen Orphanage Trust. CSP also builds strong linkages with institutions such as Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH), Dar-ul-Sukun, Khalida Iqbal Free Education, JDC Old Age Home, Special Children School Karsaz, The Dawood Foundation (TDF) Ghar, Special Security Unit (SSU), National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Rescue 1122, Islamabad Traffic Police, Capital Development Authority (CDA), The Forestry Department Sindh, Next Gen Impact, Society for Youth Karachi (SKY), and the Green Youth Movement. These collaborations provide students with opportunities to engage meaningfully with society, fostering empathy, leadership, and civic responsibility.
  • Varied Activities: Activities include food or clothing drives, awareness campaigns, visiting underprivileged areas, collaboration with shelters, and civic projects that encourage hands-on involvement.
