Umeed e Nau is a psychological services clinic under the Institute of Professional Psychology, Bahria University, Karachi. At Umeed e Nau, we believe that mental health is an integral component of one's overall well-being. We have assembled a team of highly skilled and compassionate mental health professionals who are committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve emotional and psychological balance. As the Institute of Professional Psychology has developed strong collaborative ties through multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with educational institutions, NGOs, health-care facilities, and corporate organizations to expand access to psychological support and professional training. As an outpatient set up it is functioning in two locations, one at IPP, Karachi Campus, National Stadium Road and other inside Bahria University Health Sciences Campus, DHA. Umeed e Nau functions with walk in operational timings from 9am- 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Umeed-e-Nau provides a broad range of psychological services for clinical, educational and organizational needs as follows:

• Psychological Assessment: Assessment services at Umeed-e-Nau include a comprehensive range of standardized psychological tests and evaluations. These cover cognitive and globally accepted standardized intelligence (IQ) assessments, personality assessments, neuropsychological screening, educational and achievement testing, and career assessment with structured guidance for academic and vocational planning. The clinic also provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, including psychological screening for hiring and recruitment, workplace stress assessments and organizational needs evaluations.
• Counselling and Psychotherapy Services: It encompasses a wide range of evidence-based approaches. In training psychologists and faculty consultants work closely with clients to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management and more. These services are offered to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults, as well as to organizations seeking psychological support for their teams. Whether individuals are seeking help for personal challenges, clinical concerns, academic or career difficulties, or workplace stress, Umeed-e-Nau ensures tailored interventions suited to each unique population.

Umeed-e-Nau at each location features dedicated rooms for each psychotherapeutic/clinical need, including separate counseling and psychotherapy rooms, group therapy room, family room, and fully equipped play therapy rooms for both children and adults including sand-tray therapy and other experiential modalities. This arrangement ensures a structured and professionally designed environment that supports the full range of psychotherapeutic treatments offered.

What sets us apart is our commitment to client-centered care. At Umeed e Nau. we believe that every individual's journey to mental health is unique, and the services are tailored in meet the specific needs and goals of each client in a warm, non-judgmental and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds are welcomed and respected. The services have minimal charges for students and faculty for the purpose of ease of access to mental health care.
