Deputy Director (Academic Programs & Governance) - BUHO
QUALIFICATION:
- 18 years of education from an HEC-recognized University
EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates having minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Preference shall be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in academic management, statutory body meeting organization and documentation, comprehensive agenda and minutes preparation, and strong official/technical writing and professional presentation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Deputy Director (Academic Programs & Governance) shall be responsible to the Director (Academics) for the following:
- Coordinate the planning, development, review, revision, suspension, and closure of academic programmes in consultation with the faculties and ensure alignment with university policies, HEC guidelines, accreditation requirements, and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate the conduct of the Academic Council, Deans' Committee, and other academic statutory bodies, including preparation of agendas, scrutiny of cases, recording of minutes, monitoring progress and maintenance of institutional records.
- Coordinate the planning, assessment, establishment, modernization, utilization, and periodic upgradation of academic laboratories, teaching facilities, and programmes-specific academic infrastructure across all Constituent Units.
- Evaluate, consolidate, and process annual requirements for laboratories, specialized academic equipment, software, library resources, and other teaching and learning facilities, and recommend priorities for budgetary allocation in consultation with Faculties and relevant administrative departments.
- Maintain institutional records, databases, and periodic reports relating to academic programmes, laboratory infrastructure, resource development, implementation status of statutory decisions, and academic development initiatives.
- Assist the Director (Academics) in strategic academic planning, programmes expansion, resource optimization, and implementation of institutional initiatives for academic excellence.
- Perform any other task or duty assigned by the Director (Academics).
