NUMS is the Admitting University for BUMDC Karachi. Therefore NUMS conduct entry test and process admissions in MBBS/BDS programs of BUMDC every year.
a. Passing of MDCAT (NUMS) with minimum 55% marks for MBBS and minimum 50% marks for BDS shall be mandatory for admission in BUMDC.
b. HSSC / F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of sixty percent (60%) marks.
c. Mandatory requirement of MDCAT shall not apply to students seeking admission on a special program seat predefined exclusively for foreign students and on the seats reserved for overseas Pakistanis. Such students shall qualify SAT-Il with minimum score of 550 in each subject i.e Biology, Chemistry & Physics or Mathematics or a foreign MCAT examination or UCAT examination with 50% marks in the subjects as prescribed in PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023 para 3 (c).
Bahria University is the Admitting University for all semester based programs. Therefore conducts computer based entry test (CBT) and process admissions in DPT, BS-MLT, BS-Biotechnology and BS-Nursing.
DPT
HSSC / F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of sixty percent (60%) marks.
BS-MLT
HSSC / F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of fifty percent (50%) marks.
BS-Biotechnology
HSSC / F.Sc. (Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of fifty percent (50%) marks.
BS-Nursing
HSSC / F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of fifty percent (50%) marks.
BS-Public Health
FA/FSc 50% passing marks
