The Department of Computer Engineering at Bahria University successfully hosted its 17th Corporate Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting on April 24, 2026. Semiconductor Industry Workforce Development: A major focus was placed on a strategic four-month training initiative aimed at strengthening Pakistan's semiconductor workforce. Developed in collaboration with NI and GIK, this project aims to equip engineers with high-demand technical skills.
Introduction of PGD in IC Design: In a move to enhance specialized education, the department announced the launch of a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in IC Design. This program serves as a critical bridge, offering students a specialized pathway into advanced MS and PhD research.
Enhanced Stakeholder Engagement: Following PEC recommendations, the department has overhauled its Alumni and Employer survey frameworks. This ensures that industrial feedback directly informs our curriculum design and quality assurance processes.
