The Directorate of Academics serves as the central coordinating authority for all academic affairs of the University. Headed by the Director Academics, the Directorate functions as the principal focal point for academic policy formulation, implementation, and regulatory compliance. It plays a strategic role in supporting the Academic Council and Deans’ Committee, ensuring that institutional academic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes and operational excellence across all Constituent Units (CUs).

The Directorate oversees the development and enforcement of academic policies and regulations while maintaining comprehensive records of ongoing and planned programmes. It facilitates key academic processes including equivalence, migration, credit transfers, exemptions, time-bar waivers, and faculty workload management. It also processes recommendations from Faculty Boards of Studies and ensures effective implementation of decisions taken by statutory bodies.

Beyond governance and compliance, the Directorate actively contributes to academic excellence by promoting innovation in curriculum design, encouraging the adoption of contemporary teaching, learning, and assessment pedagogies, and aligning programmes with emerging industry and regulatory requirements. Through structured oversight, quality assurance mechanisms, and continuous review, the Directorate ensures academic integrity, relevance, and sustained institutional advancement in a dynamic higher education landscape.
