BU and PIFFA sign Agreement for Higher Diploma Course
Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun HI (M), Director General NCMPR, on behalf of Bahria University signed an Agreement on Tuesday 30th June 2015 with Pakistan International Freight Forwarding Association – PIFFA to Conduct FIATA Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
The objective of both the institutions is to promote a high level of professional education to meet the challenges of international competitiveness due to trade liberalization and globalization.
The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations -FIATA, accredited Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management (HDSCM), a six months vocational training course jointly prepared by Bahria University and the Faculty of PIFFA Training Institute based on international standards.
Chairman PIFFA Mr. Asim Saeed Khan, said, “This Academic collaboration may grow further and provide Higher Education in this important Logistics field.”
The successful qualification of this evening course designed for the professionals in the field of Logistics will entitle the participants for internationally recognized Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
PIFFA is Government licensed representative body of over 550 Freight Forwarding and Logistics Companies. It is the only platform which provides effective representation and support to Freight Forwarders & Logistics Companies operating in Pakistan.
V/Adm Asaf said on the occasion, “Improving our human resource is a key component that will directly and substantially affect our country’s global competitiveness. It is therefore a right time to galvanize our human resource”.
The first FIATA Higher Diploma Course in Supply Chain Management is expected to commence by mid-August, 2015.
