Director Lahore Campus Commodore M Amjad Zaman SI(M) PN (Retd.)

Commodore M Amjad Zaman SI (M) (Retd) was commissioned in Pakistan Navy in Operations Branch after successful training at Pakistan Naval Academy & Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth UK.  After serving on various surface ships he joined Pakistan Navy Submarine force and specialized in underwater warfare (ASM) from France. He commanded Pakistan Navy Agosta class submarine and the submarine base.  He was graduated from PN Staff College and Post graduated from Egyptian Naval War College (MS-War Studies-96/97) and later from National Defence University Islamabad (MS-Strategic Studies-06/07).  He is a student of French, Arabic and Bahasa Malaysia.

Various Staff appointments held include Staff officer (Operations &   Training) to the Commander Submarine and Squadron Commander at Pakistan Naval Academy.  At Naval Headquarters, Islamabad he served as Director Strategic Plans and Director Maritime Affairs & Environment Control.  He was Defense Advisor (Pakistan) at Pakistan High Commission Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, co-accredited to Thailand and Brunei, looking after Army/Navy/Air Force/MoD/ MoD Production.

He was entrusted with the job of Drafting Authority, to look after all the aspect of Human Resources Management of Pakistan Navy. He was appointed as the Commandant of the biggest Training establishment of Pakistan Navy known as Maritime Training complex, comprising eleven Professional and Educational Schools; which looks after the training of officers and lower ranks up to mid-career for officers and complete training for the lower ranks.

His last appointment prior joining Bahria University was Commodore training Ashore and looked after seven training establishments and twelve colleges/schools at Karachi, including Naval Academy, Naval Engineering college, Maritime Training complex, School of Management, School of logistics, Bahria colleges and Bahria Model schools. In addition, he was also Member of Board of Governors Cadet colleges (Petaro & Sanghar).

In 2013, he was selected as Director Campus to establish and operationalize the new Bahria University Campus at Lahore. Currently, he is heading the Campus with more than eleven hundred students in various disciplines, at undergraduate and MS levels. In addition, he is also a member of Board of Studies, Pakistan Navy War College Lahore

Deputy Director Lahore Campus Cdr Faisal Shabbir T Bt PN (Retd.)
(2016 – Present)

Cdr Faisal Shabbir T Bt PN (Retd) has over 26 years of experience in Senior HR, Administrative and Security positions. During the service in Navy, he had the opportunity to serve in positions that were linked with various facets of Human Resource Management, Project management, and Administration. Twice having command of sea-going ships manifested in the implementation of Administration and HR practices in practically challenging scenarios. He has completed large projects ranging from construction of a Naval ship to re-vamping of a sports club that included contract management, monitoring, and financial aspects.

He completed MBA (HRM & Marketing) in 2003, MSc Strategic Studies in 2005 and MPhil Management Sciences in 2018 from Bahria University. He has also attended various courses on Project Management, Balance Scorecard, Security and HR Management / Development from National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Cdr Faisal is a graduate of PN War College. In addition, he has attended and qualified Command Course from premier Chinese Naval Command College, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China with distinction in 2009.

Cdr Faisal has extensive training experience gained as Head of training and administration at PN Engineering College, a constituent college of National University of Science & Technology. He was responsible for round the clock training and administrative aspects including HR management, security, discipline and co / extra-curricular activities. He has developed and implemented training programs; and delivered lectures to students at PNEC – NUST.

At Navy’s School of Management as Head of HRM Wing, he designed and conducted short courses on Training & Development, and delivered lectures on Leadership, Motivation & Decision Making to senior level command courses designated for command of Ships, Submarines, and Aviation Squadrons.

As Deputy Director of Bahria University Lahore Campus, Cdr Faisal is responsible for all academic / examination and administrative aspects including HR management, security, discipline and co / extracurricular activities. In addition, he is undertaking Leadership classes of MBA.

Cdr Faisal has been conferred the award of Tamgha- e- Basalat by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for extraordinary Courage and Valour.
