Mass media saturate our lives, making media literacy an indispensable civic skill for the 21st century. For this reason, the Department of Media Studies at Bahria University has been established that promises a lively mix of courses and seminars, screenings, and workshops that will contribute to Bahria University’s longstanding tradition of excellence. Our research and curriculum emphasize the study of global media and culture, digital media and new technologies, media history, visual culture, sound studies, media industries and infrastructures, media activism, and political communication.
