BUKC Media Students visit Edhi Village

A delegation of BS final year students of Department of Media Studies BUKC, as part of their field work in Development Support Communication, visited Edhi Village, Super Highway, Karachi, as a model NGO in Pakistan.

Mr. Ismail, Incharge Edhi Village and his team received the delegation. During the visit, media students observed various sections of one of the biggest charitable project of the country. The  delegation  observed a home to more than 1500 abandoned and orphaned boys and girls, mentally retarded and physically disabled person as well as shelter less and helpless male and female living in the exclusive village. The students mixed with the inmates, inquired about their health and chatted frankly. They also distributed sweets among the inhabitants. The delegation also offered fateha at the grave of the legendary social icon of Pakistan, late Abdul Sattar Edhi.

The visit was led by Dr Har Bakhsh Makhijani, Professor, Department of Media Studies, BUKC.
