The Media Studies Department at Bahria University focuses on media literacy through liberal arts. We teach students not just how to use the media, but also about their meaning and importance so that they can employ them more effectively. In fulfilling the requirements of the degree, students will become a more discerning and active user of the media—able to understand and employ them as powerful tools that can change society for the better.introduction

Students are encouraged to develop a sense of communication history and are provided with the means of mastering the language of our mass media. They are challenged to develop a critical view, with an emphasis on ethical judgments about the most current media issues. Academic and theoretical classes are supplemented with skills-oriented coursework, applied internships, and research activities, as well as TV studio, field video, audio and new media production classes.
