VISIT MAJOR UNIVERSITIES ON UK TOUR
The visit to UK was very challenging and
the students gained a lot of experience from the educational institutions
there. The faculty had visited the UK a couple of times but for the
students, it was their first experience and their response overwhelming upon
visiting the western educational institutions.
This was shared by Ali Saeed, Director, Students Affairs, Bahria University
with ‘The News’ here Monday as he returned along with a group of students to
Pakistan after a two-week visit of UK.
The director said the delegation comprised of 35 students and
three faculty members. “After completion of this successful trip, we plan to
conduct such tours every year, so that our students are able to compare
their educational system with the West” he said.
The students made the trip under the leadership of Ali Saeed,
who had taken a trip to UK last month for the career development of the
students, cultural exchange and recreation, organized by Bahria University.
The main purpose of the tour was to encourage intellectual output through
acquaintance with the western world and exchange of inspiration and ideas to
give a new direction for gaining knowledge.
The students visited Cardiff University, Swansea University,
University of Leicester, Coventry University, Aston University, Queen marry
University and Royal Holloway University of London and Greenwhich
University. The primary objective behind the university visits was to inform
the students about their degree programme and the compare their educational
system with the one back home for the latter’s future improvement.
