Bahria university and university of Leicester, UK signed an agreement for cooperation in various academic areas

Bahria university and the university of Leicester, UK here on Tuesday signed an agreement that envisaged cooperation in various academic areas.

To begin with, some faculty members of the Bahria University will proceed to the Leicester University in Britain for PhD and MS programs in April and September this year.

The two universities have also agreed to start split under graduate and doctoral programs in various discipline such e.g. computer science, engineering and management.

An important area where the university of Leicester and Bahria University have agreed to work together is distance learning.

Bahria University Rector Vice Admiral (retired) Frooq Rashid termed his agreement a historic occasion, which had provided a great opportunity to the faculty and students of Bahria University for pursuing higher education in Britain.

Through this agreement Bahria University students who apply for a post graduate or doctoral degree program in University of Leicester through international office gets a discount of 30% in their CS and engineering departments and a 25% discount for any other discipline.
