Department of Management Sciences
A portfolio of programmes at the undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels are on offer at both the Islamabad and Karachi campuses: BBA, MBA, MPhil and PhD. Undergraduate and Graduate programmes in Management Sciences have been tailored in close consultation with Corporate Sector to prepare our graduates to face real life challenges on completion of studies. The courses are designed to develop skills and knowledge among the students to help them adjust into business related fields.
Department of Engineering
The Department of Engineering is Bahria University’s second largest department with around 1,200 students. With a degree in electrical engineering the student may choose to specialize in:
- Electronics and Telecommunication.
- Computer Engineering.
- Software Engineering.
All department programmes are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council as they meet all international educational standards in quality engineering.
Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
The Bahria University Earth & Environmental Sciences Department confers the Bachelors of Science (BS) (4 years program), Master of Science (MS) degrees (2 years program) in the fields of Geology, Geophysics, Environmental Sciences and Environmental Policy & Management (EPM). The Master's degree is the highest degree offered and is conferred only upon completion of a coherent and focused program of advanced study. The department has set its own minimum degree requirements. The bachelor degree offers superior students advanced training and opportunities for research. The program is for the prospective professional earth and environmental scientists in the corporate sector and emphasizes practical work.
Department of Computer Sciences
In this department the student may choose from two undergraduate programmes of four years: BS Computer Sciences, and BS Electronics and Telecom Management. At the masters level he may also choose his MS in either Software Engineering or Telecom Networks. A new four-year PhD programme in Electrical Engineering has started while modern hardware and computer laboratories are available for teaching and research.
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Social Sciences degree programme provides the student with the opportunity to discover the social world. Multidiscipline bachelor degree programmes in social sciences offer students four major interest areas to choose from:
- Anthropology/Sociology.
- Development Studies.
- International Relations.
- Media Studies.
Medical and Dental Sciences
Bahria University provides the highest standard of health education/training through its affiliated medical colleges. To produce graduate physicians for the 21st century who abide by the rigor of scientific discipline and are selfless, humane, knowledgeable, skillful and dutiful to their profession and the society at large, Bahria University has set up its own Medical & Dental College at Karachi, to meet the ever growing needs of the health sector. The Medical & Dental College admit up to 100 and 50 students annually in the MBBS and BDS programmes repectively.
Department of Law
The Department of Law aims to provide high quality legal education with an updated curriculum and a strong focus on research. The local legal and judicial system is developing fast and needs highly skilled people to meet today’s unique challenges that include: the environment, governance, media and cyberspace. We closely follow a modern curriculum approved by the Higher Education Commission and the Pakistan Bar Council.
Institute of Professional Psychology
The study of psychology is all about developing a clear understanding of human behavior, attitude and feelings. The Institute of Professional Psychology is Pakistan's leading institute offering graduate and undergraduate level program in professional discipline of psychology including Clinical, Educational and Organizational Psychology.
The diverse programs offered in major areas of psychology are:

· Post Magistral Diploma (PMD) - Professional Psychology
· M Phil - Professional Psychology
· Ph D - Professional Psychology
Students are imparted professional training in their areas of interest. The Institute provides Psycho diagnostic and Psychotherapeutic services to patients who are either referred from the Naval Hospital, PNS SHIFA, or are admitted in its wards and are being visited by psychologists.
